Miss Avery
Glass Blower Artist
I am in love with blowing glass. I have dedicated nearly 14 years to the art and it is one of my greatest passions.
I consider myself a fire bug… I believe that the art of fire and glass is something that has been around for hundreds of years for a reason… once you fall in the fire… you stay there. Consumed by the beauty, and the flame.
I am committed to creating art that is not only beautiful but, functional. I just want the one who has it to love it as much as I did when I created it.
For now, it is just me in my small shop. But, my long term goal is to have a space that is safe and welcoming for women to come and heal, create and network with other female artists.
My art is both functional and Memorial. It is a therapeutic way for me to express my inner workings and place it into the physical world.
When creating something… sometimes its already an idea I have developed into a replicated item; and sometimes it's a broken or flawed piece that speaks to me with its shape; telling me what it truly wants to be.
My creative process is a fluid as glass is truly a liquid until it solidifies into its final form.
I appreciate you… the viewer, the observer… the beholder. For looking, for buying, for loving what I create. It is a pure joy to know that others see what I create as beautiful.
To have the opportunity to create art and to have others enjoy it, is a blessing I will never take for granted.
Do not be gentle. Take it , use it, love it, break it. My art is not intended to sit on a shelf for its life, it is meant to be enjoyed. I offer repairs for life, for a reason. I want it to be loved and experienced.
Thank you to you, dear reader and Thank you to The Ganja Gallery for sharing its space and kindness with myself and other artists. For creating a space for you the observer to enjoy what our greatest passions look like.
